NAD+ (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide) is a coenzyme found in every living cell. It carries electrons through the reactions that turn nutrients into usable cellular energy, which has made it one of the most studied molecules in metabolic research.
NAD+ is also the required substrate for enzyme families such as sirtuins and PARPs, so it's widely used in studies of cellular signalling, DNA repair and how cellular NAD+ levels change over time. Each Monark vial holds 500mg of lyophilized NAD+, tested for purity by an independent laboratory.
Every batch is tested for purity by an independent laboratory, and the results are recorded on a certificate of analysis (COA).
Request the COA for this productSupplied as lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder in a sealed vial. Keep sealed vials cool, dry and away from light, and handle using standard laboratory practice. Our free Ultimate Peptide Guide covers storage and record-keeping in detail.
All Monark products are sold for laboratory research use only. Not for human or veterinary use. Not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.

The molecule
NAD+ is a dinucleotide: two nucleotides joined through their phosphate groups, one carrying an adenine base and the other nicotinamide. It switches between an oxidised form (NAD+) and a reduced form (NADH) as it accepts and donates electrons.
That simple switch sits underneath glycolysis, the citric acid cycle and mitochondrial respiration, which is why NAD+ appears in so much of the literature on cellular energy.
In the literature
Studied as the electron carrier in glycolysis, the citric acid cycle and mitochondrial respiration.
Used as the substrate in research on sirtuin signalling and PARP-driven DNA-repair processes.
Explored in preclinical research on how cellular NAD+ levels change with age.
Summaries of published preclinical research, for reference only. Not a claim of any effect in humans or animals.

No. NAD+ is a coenzyme (a dinucleotide), not a peptide. We carry it because it's used so widely alongside peptides in metabolic and cellular research.
NAD+ is the oxidised form, ready to accept electrons. NADH is the reduced form that carries them. This vial contains NAD+.
