Step-by-step reconstitution
Six steps for reconstituting lyophilized (freeze-dried) peptides with bacteriostatic (BAC) water, from setting up a clean workspace to checking for a fully clear solution.
Never shake the vial. Shaking damages peptides — let it sit, then gently roll it between your fingers.

Step 1: Prepare your workspace
- Use a clean, flat surface
- Wash thoroughly with soap and water
- Gather all supplies within arm's reach
- Wipe work surface with alcohol or an antiseptic
Step 2: Disinfect vial tops
- Wipe peptide vial rubber top with alcohol pad
- Let air dry for 30 seconds (critical - kills bacteria)
- Wipe BAC water bottle top with alcohol pad
- Let air dry for 30 seconds
Step 3: Draw BAC water
- Use an insulin syringe
- Draw back syringe plunger to desired mL amount
- Insert needle into BAC water bottle at angle
- Push plunger slowly to inject air into bottle
- Invert bottle and draw desired amount of BAC water
- Remove needle and set syringe aside
Step 4: Inject BAC water
- Insert needle into peptide vial at slight angle
- Aim at glass wall and inject slowly
- Inject all BAC water into vial
- Remove needle, do NOT shake vial
Step 5: Let peptide dissolve
- Leave vial sitting for 5-10 minutes undisturbed
- Peptide will slowly dissolve into solution
- DO NOT shake vigorously (damages peptide)
- Gently roll vial between fingers (not shaking)
- Solution should become clear within 10 minutes
Step 6: Verify dissolution
- Ensure powder is completely dissolved and clear
- No particles or cloudiness should remain
- Clear solution = successful reconstitution
