KPV is a tripeptide made of lysine, proline and valine, the last three amino acids of α-MSH, a naturally occurring hormone. Researchers became interested in it because this short end piece appears to carry much of the parent hormone's activity in inflammation models.
Published in-vitro and preclinical studies have explored KPV in models of inflammatory signalling, the intestinal lining and skin. Each Monark vial contains 10mg of lyophilized peptide, tested by an independent laboratory.
Every batch is tested for purity by an independent laboratory, and the results are recorded on a certificate of analysis (COA).
Request the COA for this productSupplied as lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder in a sealed vial. Keep sealed vials cool, dry and away from light, and handle using standard laboratory practice. Our free Ultimate Peptide Guide covers storage and record-keeping in detail.
All Monark products are sold for laboratory research use only. Not for human or veterinary use. Not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.

The peptide
α-MSH is a 13-amino-acid hormone best known for its role in pigmentation and inflammatory signalling. KPV is its final three amino acids, made synthetically for research.
Its very small size makes KPV a useful tool for studying how much of α-MSH's activity can be traced to that one short sequence.
